  1. sabu says:

brand is a picture logo or any other insignia identified by illeterate or literate rural or urban consumers. only reputed companies who stood in the market for considerable period of time will market their products under a particular brand. for example raymonds suitings amul, woodworks gripe water which is believed by four generations. unless the product is having the inherent quality no consumer will purchse irrespective of the brand. a strong brand advocates quality which will be identified and used and satisfied by consumers. then only the brand will givce indelible impression in the minds of people. for example u take l&g asotidia or hing in hindi or perrikayam in tamil is a stongbrand name in in india. because the product is having the properties accepted by the consumers. hence product management is foundation and brand management is its building. if the foundation is stron the brand will be popular among consumers. hence thereis a lot of affinity between these two concepts.
