What Company Invented “brand Management” To Help It’s Camay Brand Bottle Ivory Soap, In 1931?

In May of 1931, an internal memo went out from Neil McElroy who had been at P&G for 6 years in the ad dept. He was working on ads for Camay soap and angry that he was competing for attention with other P&G brands such as Ivory. He laid out a structure which would be the beginning of BRAND MANAGMENT. He later went on to be US Secretary of Defense during the late 50s.
